Behold, an ancient bound skull!
The Toltecs of Peru were known to bind the heads of their children with gauze wraps at a young age, prior to the hardening of their skulls, resulting in these conically shaped heads which lasted well into adulthood.
This one of a kind reproduction is created using a plaster cement hybrid of our own design and is not one of those lightweight resin cast skulls you see at Halloween. This durable skull was cast from a medical model of an adult skull and contains details right down to the cranial grooves. The skull has been hand painted with a custom stain to appear aged and sealed in acrylic lacquer.
